life motto: Everything you can imagine is real - Pablo Picasso

In my life thus far I have achieved, and continue to achieve many things that were once a dream. After having major surgery on my spine I thought that my life would be dictated by my inability to be able to do certain things or carry out certain tasks due to this. However the experience has had the opposite effect. I find myself constantly pushing myself into uncharted territory and accomplishing what was once the impossible, such as my first international trip. This was to South Africa, a place that is not entirely the safest place in particular for a young female by herself. I have travelled throughout much of europe by myself as well. I have completed and continue to study in areas that were once a dream, and I am now setting career goals that only others dream of.
I am the key to everything that I want to achieve. Everything that I can imagine is real.

What does being Australian mean to you?: Being Australian is beyond words. As the daughter of a refugee, my father and my grandfathers life experiences have enabled me to appreciate the opportunities and privelages that their experiences have allowed me to have access too.
Each time I travel international, this is only reinforced further for myself. I do love to experience new cultures and their traditions, as well as embracing the history of where ever I may be. However, I firmly believe that these experiences only emphasis how unique Australia in comparison to the rest of the world and how lucky I am to have been born in a first world country.
Being Australian is indescribable. We are a country full of community minded people. We are selfless, hard working and strong willed. Nothing stands in our way in the face of adversity.
I am so proud to live in this unique country and be apart of a community that is proud of its country and that encourages each other to pursue their passions.
